Twilight Premiere with Pictures!
- For Fellas, For Ladies, Humor
Monday night I went to Twilight's Black Carpet Premiere and After Party. It was stunning. Yes, I'm a 'Twi-heart,' as they say. Wha? They had grandmama's out there, waiting for a glimpse. So what scenes were most memorable for Me? The wedding scene was frilly and romantical and ogly and googly and all, but #1 would be Edward's sensual sex scene and the breaking of that damn bed after their first nice together I'd do me a vampire. Yup yup. All bruised up, gentler. LOL! He was just so kind to be a blood drunk. He could get it.
I like the thinking behind the way Edward's panicked movements and how they were depicted when the camera sped him across the screen faster than natural. In another life I'll study cinematography, but hopefully not as half-assed as my two year stint in psychology. I'm currently writing a screenplay as a chapter in my memoir so it is rather fascinating to think of. Also, when Ed and Bell realized the baby inside of her 'liked hearing their voices,' and was essentially 'more human than vampire' their cooing time was petty and sweet. When Ed admitted that he 'left her alone in the situation' I felt a little fuzzy for their marriage and again I fantasized, awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. BIGGER SPOILER ALERT: So after Bells is pregno and the monster babes is eating the life out of her, the scene where she reaches for the cup of blood-juice and then does this awkward twisty slip and hits the floor breaking her bones and crunching her back—only Edward catches her head before the fall... sorta came out weird. I mean, I like the cinematography, but watch it and you'll see what I mean. The new director Bill Condon did a job on her. Bella's frail body and blued face was walking dead! Jacob was adorbs throughout, but just didn't stand out much to me—really. I won't give away much more, but I think the writhing pain Bella endured to become a vampire and give birth to her baby didn't seem any more difficult than what we go through for love these days anyhow, not lol. :-)
The HD Photofolks were at the after party making the most beautiful photos out of everybody's blemishes.
The after party was decadently decorated with hanging white freesias, roses, lilacs, and simple flowers mimicking Bella's wedding ceremony and even had the actual prop cake... I wanted that cake. Strewn about were pieces of branch and bark from the trees (since the wedding was in a perfect forest) and greeny mesh growth, just like a foggy swamp. Even the tablecloth and centerpieces were earth green and accented with random white altars of flowers. It felt like a real wedding reception! O, and don't even let me get started on the open food and bar. Mixed drinks galore (mango and cosmo was my fav) and the mashed potatoes, big thick slabs of meat, butter lettuce salad with sweet tomatoes, corn, and some crunchy cucumberish thingies, there was a selection of different foods for everyone... I even heard there was jambalaya but my tum said no by that time. Yep the caterers were on it. I wish I hadn't looked like I needed to go pee for three hours when I took this picture, but I did like the big fake tree. My pictures are blurry in my excitement and with the foggy theme, but it was so wonderful to be a part of such a big premiere night! I was hoping to get bitten, but nope, no Cam Gigandet look-alikes to my rescue. Carlisle (Peter Facinelli) is fine as wine, too, and he's a doctor. I have a thing for doctors. Bhhbhbbhbblhh [Dribbles lips] Awwwwh well. There's still one more movie though.
